Project Brief

The scope of this project will intercept the flow from existing pumping stations PS 12B1 & PS Barzan Camp. It consists mainly of the construction of deep gravity sewer, associated manholes/shafts and discharges into the PS70 interceptor sewer system currently under construction south of Dukhan Road.

The works include, but are not limited to the following:

• Construction of approximately 2000m of DN600 sewer using trenchless technology.
• Construction of access manholes with a depth range of 6.5 – 20m.
• Decommissioning and demolition of two pumping stations and their associated superstructures and boundary walls/fence.
• Connection to existing sewer networks to take existing flows
• Connection to a new gravity outfall sewer (PS70 Interceptor) excluded from this Contract.
• Provision of all temporary works including over-pumping or equivalent to accommodate all sewer flows for the duration of Contract.
• Reinstatement of all surfaces disturbed or damaged as a result of the construction of the Works.

Maintenance of the Works for a period of 400 days
