Project Brief

The Works addressed by the Project comprises the design, execution, completion, and remediation of defects of the LIS network in Central Doha which connects to the MTS at seven locations.

The Works include the design, procurement, construction, testing, completion and defects correction of the following:

  1. gravity lateral interceptor sewers to connect twenty (20) numbers of existing pumping stations, Grand Park sewer and the project DW068 trunk sewer to the MTS;
  2. temporary and permanent shafts and manholes including associated hydraulic structures, flow control structures and flow monitoring equipment;
  3. diversion chambers at the existing pumping stations; and
  4. allowance for future connections of gravity drainage at designated manholes.

The Works comprises the design, construction, testing, commissioning and handing over of the following works:

TheLIS-01 Contract is to be constructed by means of microtunnelling and pipejacking within the public Right of Way (ROW), buffer zones adjacent to the ROW and al located utility corridors. The Contractor is responsible for utilizing sufficient microtunnelling and pipejacking equipment, compliant with the specifications, to achieve the completion milestones.
